This marks the beginning of the move to decentralized governance in Districts. Expansion will no longer be directed solely by the founding team but will be guided by the collective voice of the community.
With every vote, you’ll help shape the map, choosing which new Districts unlock for minting next.
Best of all, first access awaits. When your chosen District unlocks, you’ll be notified to be among the first to mint Land Pixels in the new area you helped activate.
How Community Voting Works
Each Land Owner who also holds $DSTRX tokens will have the power to:
Vote on which new Districts open first
Influence the pace of expansion
Earn early access to mint Land Pixels in the Districts they helped unlock
To ensure genuine participation, each vote will include a small $DSTRX token burn (5%) on unlock, creating a sustainable loop where every voter is invested in their decision.
How to Vote
When live, connect your Web3 wallet at app.districts.xyz.
Click the wallet icon (top right) and confirm your $DSTRX tokens on the Realio Network (native).
Go to your Districts profile (upper right).
Select “Vote to Unlock New Areas.”
Choose your desired District and cast your vote.
Decide how much $DSTRX to pledge.
Keep an eye on your notification center for unlock updates and new voting opportunities.
Voting Requirements and Key Details
You’ll need a Web3 wallet, 1X Land Pixel (not listed on the Marketplace or staked), and at least 1 $DSTRX token (unstaked).
A 5% fee applies when voting; the remaining 95% of tokens can be reclaimed at any time. The 5% fee only applies once the land unlocks.
Staked tokens cannot be used for voting — they must be unstaked first.
Votes can be withdrawn at any time before unlocking, but doing so removes your contribution.
Once a District meets the community vote threshold, it becomes eligible for minting.
Selected areas will be available for voting when voting goes live.
Every vote is transparently recorded on-chain, allowing you to track each area’s progress toward unlocking, view total community participation, review your voting history across regions, and watch the burn amount grow as new areas come online.
