Districts Digest: August Update

Utility, Rewards, and Governance Are Coming Online
In our last Districts Digest, we introduced the start of Phase 2: The Build Phase, laying the foundation for a more interactive and utility-driven ecosystem. In conjunction, August marks a critical moment in the evolution of the Districts’ ecosystem.
This month, we begin activating some of the most anticipated components of the project:
1. $DSTRX Staking: Unlocking real utility
2. Land Pixel Staking: Rewarding landowners
3. Voting to Unlock New Areas: Giving the community governance and direct voice in shaping the future of Districts

Here’s what to expect over the next several weeks:
1. $DSTRX Staking Launches First

We’re excited to announce that $DSTRX staking will launch ahead of Land Pixel staking. This is a significant step forward in expanding the utility of the $DSTRX token and aligning it more closely with the Realio ecosystem.
Holders of $DSTRX will be able to stake their tokens to validators, just like staking on the Realio Network. In return, stakers will earn $RIO staking rewards.
Staking features include:
Delegating to a validator
Ability to redelegate
Unstaking anytime, with a 7-day cool-down period (unbonding period)
Requirements:
Hold at least 1 $DSTRX token
2. Land Pixel Staking

Once $DSTRX staking is live, we’ll be rolling out Land Pixel staking next, enabling landowners to put their District Land Pixels to work and earn $DSTRX staking rewards.
This staking mechanic is designed to reward long-term participation and increase the value of holding Districts’ land.
Owners will be able to:
Activate their Land Pixel staking for ongoing $DSTRX staking rewards
Boost the utility of their land within the platform
Position themselves for future in-world benefits tied to participation
Requirements:
Hold at least 1 $DSTRX token
Hold at least 1 Land Pixel
Have at least 1 Land Pixel not listed on the Marketplace
With both $DSTRX and Land Pixel staking in place, the two core assets of Districts will finally start to connect and compound in value.
3. Voting to Unlock New Areas

Last, but certainly not least, as part of our long-term vision of community-driven expansion, voting will soon go live, allowing landowners to help decide which areas open next.
This new governance feature will utilize voting with the $DSTRX token to unlock additional areas within Districts. Each vote contributes to shaping the future layout and opportunities within the ecosystem.
Requirements:
Hold at least one Land Pixel
Hold at least 1 $DSTRX token
*Please note that 5% of all voted tokens will be burned
This is a significant step toward decentralized control, previewing how governance will eventually expand into other platform aspects.

We’ve also launched the Districts Ecosystem Insights Dashboard, a powerful new tool that offers real-time analytics and transparency across the platform. From transactions, supply, and all on-chain activities, the dashboard helps you understand the economic dynamics of Districts.
Looking Ahead
The upcoming launches of $DSTRX staking, Land Pixel staking, and area voting represent a shift from passive ownership to active participation. Each feature is a building block toward a more immersive and self-sustaining economy within Districts.
We’ll be sharing exact rollout dates soon. In the meantime, now is the time to prepare:
Secure your $DSTRX
Accumulate Land Pixels
Get ready to stake, earn staking rewards, and vote
Your land. Your tokens. Your vote.
